What does it need to make the offers effective?

You need to have good content for online promotion campaigns to get the most out of your post. This depends on what type of offers you are bringing to the consumers. Make a good research on what type of consumers you are targeting, what is your business goal and what you expect from your promotions. Make a determined objective. Your messaging needs to be personalized.

There are different types of offers you can give to get the attention of the consumers.  You might have heard about Buy one get one free, gift vouchers, free delivery, loyalty cards, student discount, free trial, and many more. Offering discounts on purchases is a very quick way to draw people’s attention and lead them into your E-commerce and physical store. Anytime you tell a customer that he can save money, you are likely to get their attention.

You have to keep it consistent with providing offers in the market to keep your business moving and growing. No matter whether you have a small or big business, effective sales promotions will always help your sales and brand to grow.

If you can come up with a few weekly or monthly offers, they are a great marketing strategy to help the shoppers know about your business as well as can be a great contribution to your business, improve reputation, and increase sales. However, during the offer duration and after you run your ads, you may encounter huge traffic to your website. So you may need to assign employees for smoother support as well.

Offering discounts is a common business practice yet effective in the market today. There are countless ways to use discounts for your business to get more leads and boost sales. You can give special discount offers to the new visitors or give as some reward to the loyal customers.

If the discount has a limited-time offer, this might encourage the consumers to buy your products or attract new customers towards your product. Now, Let’s say you are running a discount offer for a certain period of days, you can mention the days on your website, and a timer would be a general technique that you can apply to provide a sense of urgency. Saying the time is ticking and the offer is going to end at midnight which you can also highlight in your Ads for that matter. Google also provides you with such features through the Offer extension while you run a Search Campaign. So anyone searching for a similar product, they are going to have a prominent view on the offer duration.

Many shoppers are mostly attracted to buy discounted products, chances are they will also look around to see what else your offers are in your store and also may be a very good opportunity for you to cross-sell other products that match their interest. For example, if you are selling a camera, you may suggest that they buy a camera case or even a camera lens filter with it.

When you are bringing offers to the market, you need to be clear about your goal. Why do you want to offer? It is a business strategy but what is the outcome you expect? You need to plan accordingly. However, at the same time, you are not offering your products sacrificing your bottom line. You need to use your creativity to come up with great deals and provide a sense that you are offering a better price that is not available elsewhere. And from the consumer’s point of view, they are attracted by deals, and if they see a better product value in it, why not, there are no reasons to not buy your products on a great valued offer. Offers are always exciting to them. Especially for people who are finding the best deals your business has to offer.

Offer types

Now, let us look at a few offer types, so we have a better understanding of them before you are coming up with the plan. You can run them not just through your Facebook Ad Campaigns, but such marketing efforts work on every online platform.

1. Percentage Discount:

You can display your product at x% discount out of the total price, for example, 20% off. So this can be smaller to relatively higher up to 50% to make your deal look more attractive and make it look like an expensive item that seems a great bargain to consumers. Ultimately consumers who are buying these products can claim their 20% while their checkout at a physical and/ or online store. If you want to increase your sales figure, you can start offering a percentage discount.

2. Buy More, Save More:

In this type of offer, percentage discounts are based on quantity, such as very often you can run offers starting from 5 to even 70% on purchases over X amount. In such cases, Your promotion will read “Up to X% off on orders over $X.” And they are applied to customers by saying if you buy more you get more discounts, they can also be referred to as quantity or volume discounts as well. This kind of deal entices the customer to buy more of your stock, so it’s kind of a win, wins.

Consumers who are buying more of your products or services may feel a little dissatisfied sometimes expecting the seller would have possibly considered the pricing and that’s where you can simply give them a sense of direction and attractive enough that they can buy more than they want, without any cost hesitations because you are giving them discounts on their volume purchases at the end. Here you may have the opportunity to strategically think to gain customers for 2 primary reasons. First, big customers know they are important and you as a seller as well and hence expect a better discount. Also, You may expect they will be doing much bigger purchases in the future as well if they are offered discounts. And secondly, at the same time, they always have the choice to negotiate with several other suppliers when they have bigger orders. Now for such reasons, you can put these customers into the bucket of loyal customers who will likely buy from you if the discount consideration is done.

3. Discount Amount:

This type of offer is as simple as it sounds and this type of discount is widely used especially to create a sense of urgency as all other offers. For example, a flash sale only lasts for a limited time and many businesses agree that a flash sale on a product campaign is better engaging than regular campaigns.

It can also be useful when you have a sales target and need to get the sale completed in the short term and for stock clearance purposes.

This is also helpful while you create a bigger sale at certain times of the year, which we have been seeing most of the time, such as ‘Black Friday’, New Year sales, summer sales, and so on. Through such deals, it may be a perfect time to get rid of most of your stock that didn’t sell for example, and offer them at a heavy discount. Here you can get creative with your promotion and use the theme of the holiday, to sell your products in bigger volumes.

4. Buy these and get this for a discount or buy 2 get 1 free:

This is an offer where the consumer gets a free product as a token of love if they buy products in bulk. Buyers like getting items for free especially when it’s a higher-quality item and is for free, that’s even more appealing to consumers.

Buy one get one free, is also known as bundle pricing which is a common pricing strategy If executed properly, you can see your sales grow exponentially. You can run this offer with an ending date to create urgency just like any other offer so your consumers can act fast.

Here you can combine several products just not only 2 but more than that and then sell them at a single price instead of charging separate prices for each. Strategically you can bundle an unpopular product with popular ones or even the other way around. It’s important to choose the right bundle though, which may be in the form of gifts or even package deals or any bundling strategy that fits more on the value as part of the consumer’s advantage rather than consumers choosing to buy separately. You need to make sure that consumers are willing to pay as opposed to what they have to pay.

These are a few of the offer types that will help your promotion pull the consumers into your online store and this will help you to convert such buyers to happy customers.

Offers not only helps your customers but help your business too. However, remember one thing, give little to get more for your business.
